WHO ARE WE?
The Bible Society of Botswana is a Christian organization that focuses on translating, publishing, and distributing the Bible in languages that resonate with people.
Our aim is to make the Word of God accessible in formats that are convenient for individuals and at an affordable price. The organization primarily serves the church, considering it a crucial player in carrying out God’s mission. The Society collaborates with the church to participate in God’s mission, fostering local, operational, and strategic partnerships with various denominations, church-related groups, and Christian organizations. Affiliated with the United Bible Societies, a global network uniting nearly 200 countries, the Bible Society of Botswana is dedicated to ensuring that the Word of God reaches people in languages that deeply resonate with them.

Promote moral and spiritual regeneration of the people of God for worthy living and Undertake interventions that promote and enhance human social development through resource mobilization, networking and partnerships.
What we do
BIBLE TRANSLATION
Bible translation is the core work of the Bible Society of Botswana. All projects related to the translation of Scripture and Scripture related material into vernacular languages by the translation team. All projects related to the translation of Scripture and Scripture related material into vernacular languages by the translation team (Local Community, Churches, Advisory Committees, Reviewers, Bard of Governors, Translation Partners, Translation Consultant, Translation managers and Translators). In order to ensure sustainable Scripture engagement, in some areas, literacy projects become a priority. We do literacy projects with Language Development partners in a given community.
BIBLE DISTRIBUTION
The Bible Society of Botswana exists for one principal purpose, to promote the widest possible effective distribution of the Holy Scriptures and Scriptures related materials in Botswana. It is against this principal mandate that we work with the Churches, Christians and individuals in the distribution mandate. The Church is a very important partner in achieving this honourable mandate and ensuring that the Scriptures are consumed and the people own the Bible.
CHURCH RELATIONS
The Church is a primary customer for the Bible Society. As the Society, we see the Church as an agent of God’s mission in the world.Church Relations carries out its projects with all Church denominations.

Our Bible publishing team at the Bible Society is committed to producing high-quality, accurate, and culturally relevant translations of the Bible with a mission is to make the Bible accessible to all. Our Bible publishing team is committed to producing high-quality, accurate, and culturally relevant translations of the Holy Scriptures. We collaborate with skilled linguists, scholars, and native speakers to ensure that each translation captures the essence of the original texts while resonating with the hearts of the people of Botswana.
