The Naro Bible Translation project was established in 1990 in D’kar. It is based on translation, literacy, and scripture engagement. The project fully became operational in 1994. It was established to:
To translate the Bible in to Naro
To make Naro speakers literate To develop the Naro Language
To engage the Naro people
The whole Old Testament has been drafted, of which Genesis, Exodus (historical parts), several Psalms and Esther,Hosea,Obadieh, Ruth, Nahum,Malachi are user ready. The New Testament was launched in 2012.
The Project strives to engage the Naro people through literacy and scripture engagement (daily manna, audio bible, orality (dcui/ xlhana and Naro).
