This project started in 2009 when the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Botswana partnered with Lutheran Bible Translators to begin translation work into Shekgalagari as part of an effort to reach out into the Kgalagadi region.
The Shekgalagari project is now preparing for its launch of the New Testament in March 2024 with 10,000 copies printed. We will then do 10% of the Old Testament.
The Shekgalagari project is now arranging with the printers for the production of the complete New Testament and is looking forward to dedicating that publication later this year in Kang to sensitize the Shekgalagari speaking communities about the work we have done and to the upcoming launch of the event.
Publications Made
