A Prayer for Mercy
1 Our Lord and our God,
I turn my eyes to you,
on your throne in heaven.
2 Servants look to their master,
but we will look to you,
until you have mercy on us.
3 Please have mercy, Lord!
We have been insulted
more than we can stand,
4 and we can't take more abuse
from those proud,
conceited people.

imwi mugele mu tjigalo tje bushe kudzimu!
2 Sekwa mesho e balandalume
elinga luboko gwa tetshi wabo,
sekwa mesho e nlandakadzi
elinga luboko gwe nfumakadzi waanoshinga,
naswibo mesho edu anolinga kuna Yahwe Ndzimu wedu,
kuswikila betihwila ngoni.
3 Mutihwile ngoni, imwi Yahwe, mutihwile ngoni,
ngobe takatukwa kwagala.
4 Meya yedu izheligwe kupinda tjilizanyo
nge kudadigwa kwa ibabo bagedzikane
ne tukwa kukulu nge banozwikudza.
