Under the Protection of God
1 Please listen, God,
and answer my prayer!
2 I feel hopeless,
and I cry out to you
from a faraway land.
Lead me to the mighty rock
high above me.
3 You are a strong tower,
where I am safe
from my enemies.
4 Let me live with you forever
and find protection
under your wings, my God.
5 You heard my promises,
and you have blessed me,
just as you bless everyone
who worships you.
6 Let the king have a long
and healthy life.
7 May he always rule
with you, God, at his side;
may your love and loyalty
watch over him.
8 I will sing your praises
forever, God, and will always
keep my promises.
Ntembezelo we mbakililo
1 Ihwani tjililo tjangu Ndzimu,
hwililani ntembezelo wangu.
2 Ndomudana ndili ku phelelo dze shango,
ngoti moyo wangu usitjina matatabuko.
Munditungamile mu ndiyise ku dombo,
ilo lakakulila pezhugwi kundipinda.
3 Ngobe ndimwi dizhilo langu,
ndimwi mbako yakakulila pezhugwi kundivikila mu zwita.
4 Mundigadze mu nshasha wenyu nge kusingapele,
mundiwanile dizhilo kusi kwe mapapilo enyu.
5 Ngobe imwi, Ndzimu, makahwa tuna kwangu,
makandipa lukata gunopiwa ibabo banotja zina lenyu.
6 Paphidzani butjilo gwa mambo
dzene makole awe angaswika mu zwizekugwana zose.
7 Dzene angagala mu tjigalo tje bushe nge kusingapele
thamani kuti ludo gusingazunguzike
nenge bugalimoyo zwi nlise!
8 Ndizo ndowomba ndikudza zina lenyu misi yose,
ntome ndishingikadza kugadzabgwe kwandakagadzabgwe,
zhuba ne zhuba!
