Jesus Teaches about Divorce
(Mark 10.1-12)1 When Jesus finished saying these things, he left Galilee and went to the territory of Judea on the other side of the Jordan River. 2 Large crowds followed him, and he healed them there.
3 Some Pharisees came to him and tried to trap him by asking, “Does our Law allow a man to divorce his wife for whatever reason he wishes?”
4 Jesus answered, “Haven't you read the scripture that says that in the beginning the Creator made people male and female? 5 And God said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and unite with his wife, and the two will become one.’ 6 So they are no longer two, but one. No human being must separate, then, what God has joined together.”
7 The Pharisees asked him, “Why, then, did Moses give the law for a man to hand his wife a divorce notice and send her away?”
8 Jesus answered, “Moses gave you permission to divorce your wives because you are so hard to teach. But it was not like that at the time of creation. 9 I tell you, then, that any man who divorces his wife for any cause other than her unfaithfulness, commits adultery if he marries some other woman.”
10 His disciples said to him, “If this is how it is between a man and his wife, it is better not to marry.”
11 Jesus answered, “This teaching does not apply to everyone, but only to those to whom God has given it. 12 For there are different reasons why men cannot marry: some, because they were born that way; others, because men made them that way; and others do not marry for the sake of the Kingdom of heaven. Let him who can accept this teaching do so.”
Jesus Blesses Little Children
(Mark 10.13-16Luke 18.15-17)13 Some people brought children to Jesus for him to place his hands on them and to pray for them, but the disciples scolded the people. 14 Jesus said, “Let the children come to me and do not stop them, because the Kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
15 He placed his hands on them and then went away.
The Rich Young Man
(Mark 10.17-31Luke 18.18-30)16 Once a man came to Jesus. “Teacher,” he asked, “what good thing must I do to receive eternal life?”
17 “Why do you ask me concerning what is good?” answered Jesus. “There is only One who is good. Keep the commandments if you want to enter life.”
18 “What commandments?” he asked.
Jesus answered, “Do not commit murder; do not commit adultery; do not steal; do not accuse anyone falsely; 19 respect your father and your mother; and love your neighbor as you love yourself.”
20 “I have obeyed all these commandments,” the young man replied. “What else do I need to do?”
21 Jesus said to him, “If you want to be perfect, go and sell all you have and give the money to the poor, and you will have riches in heaven; then come and follow me.”
22 When the young man heard this, he went away sad, because he was very rich.
23 Jesus then said to his disciples, “I assure you: it will be very hard for rich people to enter the Kingdom of heaven. 24 I repeat: it is much harder for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of God than for a camel to go through the eye of a needle.”
25 When the disciples heard this, they were completely amazed. “Who, then, can be saved?” they asked.
26 Jesus looked straight at them and answered, “This is impossible for human beings, but for God everything is possible.”
27 Then Peter spoke up. “Look,” he said, “we have left everything and followed you. What will we have?”
28 Jesus said to them, “You can be sure that when the Son of Man sits on his glorious throne in the New Age, then you twelve followers of mine will also sit on thrones, to rule the twelve tribes of Israel. 29 And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or fields for my sake, will receive a hundred times more and will be given eternal life. 30 But many who now are first will be last, and many who now are last will be first.
Jesu unodiya ngekwe kuthubukana mu ndobolo
(Mako 10:1-12)1 Kukati Jesu apedza leba zwithu izwezwi, kabhuda mu Galili, ngono kaswika kangina mu ntuthu we Judiya seli kwe Jorodani. 2 Mibunga mikulu ye bathu ikantobela, ngono ikoko kabapodza bakabe begwala.
3 Bafarasi bakazha kunli bakanlika beti “Apa kumu nlayo kuti nlume alambe nkadzi uwe enlambila tjimwe ne tjimwe kene?”
4 Kabashandula nge bhuzo eti, “Amuzobala kene kuti iye wakababumba mu kutangisa wakabayita we tjilume ne we tjikadzi, 5 kadwilila kati, ‘Ndizo ngekwa ikoko nlume unowosiya tate babe na mmeyabe kabhatana ne nkadzi uwe, ngono bubili gowobe mbili nng'ompela?’ 6 Ndizo abatji babili batjibe mbili nng'ompela. Ndizo Ndzimu tjawabhatshanya, kushaye nthu watjithubukanya.”
7 Bakati kunli, “Ini ngono Mushe akati nlume ape nkadzi uwe lukwalo gwe kuthubukana mu ndobolo abentata?”
8 Jesu kashandula eti, “Mushe wakamudumila kulamba bakadzi benyu, ngobe mimoyo yenyu ili mikukutu. Koga kwakabe kusakajalo kutanga. 9 Ndomubudza nditi, iye unolamba nkadzi uwe, kuzhe kwe nlandu we bupombgwe, etola mmwe nkadzi, unothama bupombgwe.”
10 Badiyiwa bakati kunli, “Ha kuli kuti kwakajalo pakati kwe nlume ne nkadzi uwe, kusalobola koyita.”
11 Jesu kashandula eti, “Ate bathu bose bangaamutjila zwidiyo izwezwi, kuzhe kwe bakazwipiwa koga. 12 Ngobe kuna ngomwa dzakazwagwa dzakajalo, kuna ngomwa dzakathamwa nge bathu, koga kuna ngomwa dzakazwithama ngomwa ngekwe bushe gwe kudzimu. Iye unotubula kuamutjila ikoku ngaakuamutjile.”
Jesu unobiga bana maboko
(Mako 10:13-16Luke 18:15-17)13 Ipapo bana bakazhisiwa kuna Jesu kuti ababige maboko abatembezelele. Koga badiyiwa bakatjemela ibabo banozhisa bana kunli. 14 Jesu kati ku bali, “Letjani bana bazhe kundili, musibadzibe, ngobe bushe gwe kudzimu nge gwe bakajali.”
15 Kababiga maboko ngono kayenda.
Nzhuzha wakafuma
(Mako 10:17-31Luke 18:18-30)16 Kwakashingikala kuti mmwe nlume azhe kuna Jesu ngono kati kunli, “N'diyi, ini tjakalulwama tjandakafanila kushinga kuti ndiwane butjilo gusingapele kene?”
17 Jesu kati kunli, “Ini undibhuzwa ngekwe tjakalulwama kene? Uyapo nng'ompela koga wakalulwama. Ha ushako ngina mu butjilo, londolodza milayo.”
18 Nzhuzha kabhuzwa kati, “Ipi?”
Jesu kashandula eti, “Usibulaye, usithame bupombgwe, usikwibe, usipe butendeki gwe manyepkhwa, 19 kudza tate babo na mmeyabo, kakale ida mmwe nthu sekwa unozwida.”
20 Nzhuzha kadabila eti, “Kose ikoku ndakakulondolodza. Ngono nditjashetani?”
21 Jesu kashandula eti, “Ha ushaka kululwama kwakapelela, yenda utengese kose kwaunako ukobele bashayi, ngono unowobe ne fumwa kudzimu. Ipapo uzhe unditobele.”
22 Kukati nzhuzha ehwa ikoku kayenda ana buyendasi, ngobe wakabe akafuma kwazo.
23 Ipapo Jesu kati ku badiyiwa babe, “Ndolebesa ndoti, kowosimila nthu wakafuma kungina mu bushe gwe kudzimu. 24 Kakale ndomubudza nditi kulelu mu kamela kuti ipinde nge buli le lunji, pakuti nfumi angine mu bushe gwe Ndzimu.”
25 Badiyiwa bakati behwa ikoku bakakaabala kwazo bakambhuzwa beti, “Ndiani ngono ungatjidziwa?”
26 Jesu kabalinga kati ku bali, “Mu bathu ikoku akutotubuka koga mu Ndzimu zwithu zose zotubuka.”
27 Pita kan'dabila eti, “Bonani, takasiya zose tikamutobela. Ini ngono tjatinowowana?”
28 Jesu kashandula eti, “Ndolebesa ndoti, mu shango tshwa, ha Nkololo we Nthu ewogala mu tjigalo tje bushe gugwe, imwi makanditobela mowogalabo mu zwigalo zwe bushe zwili gumi lina zwibili, musumikilisa njudzi dze Iziraela dzili gumi lina mbili. 29 Iye wakasiya ng'umba kene minda, kene bana ba tate babe, kene tate, kene mme kene bana ngekwe zina langu, unowowana kunopinda ikoku kuli zana (100), kakale unowowana butjilo gusingapele. 30 Koga banji be kutanga banowobe be bupelo ne be bupelo banowobe be kutanga.
