Kukudza ne kugadzabgwe mu kudziyidzika
1 Ibeni nge ngoni mundili Ndzimu,
mundihwile ngoni,
ngobe mu muli meya yangu inowana dizhilo,
mu ntutshi we mapapilo enyu ndowana dizhilo,
kuswikila matutu e golomodzo epinda.
2 Ndolilila ku Ndzimu Upezhugwi zhugwi,
ku Ndzimu iwo unozhadzisa
kuda kwawo, uthamila imi.
3 Unowotumila uli kudzimu ukanditjidza,
unowobhatisa shoni ibabo
banonditshamba nge makumbo.
Ndzimu unowotumila ludo gwawo
gusingazunguzike nenge kugalikabgwe kwawo.
4 Ndilele pasi pakati kwe shumba
dzino zandabula bathu kwe bugovu;
meno adzo mathumo ne misebe,
ndimi dzabo mipanga ye ngwa inopitsha.
5 Kudziwani Ndzimu kupinda mazhuzhugwi.
Gudzo lenyu ngalibe mu shango yose.
6 Bakateya nge dati pandinotshamba
meya yangu yakabe yakashoba kwazo.
Bakatsha gomba mu zila yangu,
koga bakawila mulili ibo.
7 Moyo wangu wakadzikama, imwi Ndzimu,
moyo wangu wakadzikama.
Ndowomba lumbo athama nlidzo unozipa.
8 Muka meya yangu!
Muka tjilidzo tje dende ne tje laya,
ndowobinduka mazhokuyedza.
9 Ndowoyisa mboko yangu kumuli, She

ndowomba njimbo dzinomukudza pakati pe zwitjaba.
10 Ngobe ludo gwenyu gusingazunguzike bukulukulu
goswika pezhugwizhugwi;
kugalikabgwe kwenyu koswika ku makole.
11 Kudziwani, Ndzimu, kupoteleka makole ndiyeno
gudzo lenyu ngalibe mu shango yose.
A Prayer for Help
1 Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful,
because I come to you for safety.
In the shadow of your wings I find protection
