1 Ndowokudza Yahwe misi yose;
kubakudza kowodwilila kuli mu nlomo wangu.
2 Meya yangu inozwikudza muna Yahwe,
banodziyidzika ngabahwe bashathe.
3 Kudzani Yahwe nami,
ngatikudzeni zina labo tose.
4 Ndakashaka Yahwe, bakandidabila,
ngono bakandisunungula mu kutja kwangu kose
5 Lingani ku bali mupenye,
ndizo musibhakhwe nge shoni.
6 Iwoyu nthu usina bhatsho wakadana,
ngono Yahwe bakanhwa,
bakan'dusa muna zose zwinondziyidza.
7 Ntumwa wa Yahwe unobakilila ibabo banobatja,
ngono ukabaangula.
8 Labilani mubone kuti Yahwe bakalulwama!

9 Kudzani Yahwe imwi bayengemali babo,
ngoti ibabo banobakudza abana tjabanosheta.
10 Shumbana dzoti dzikasheta
ngono dzikabhakhwa nge zhala.
Koga ibabo banoshaka Yahwe
abana tjimwe tjakalulwama tjabanosheta.
11 Izhani bakololo munditeedze,
ndowomudiya kutja Yahwe.
12 Ndiwupi nthu unoda butjilo,
eyemula kutjila mazhuba manjinji,
kuti aje zwinozipa?
13 Tjengeta lulimi gugo mu kuleba zwakabipa,
ne milomo iyo mu kuleba manyepkhwa.
14 Bhuda mu bubi, uthame ndulamo,
shaka kunyalala ukusale shule.
15 Yahwe banotjengeta balulwami,
ne zebe dzoteedza tjililo tjabo.
16 Buso gwa Yahwe gwakasunganila bashingi be bubi,
kudusa njalakang'wa nge kwabo mu shango.
17 Ha balulwami belila beshaka bhatsho,
Yahwe banobahwa bakabasunungula
muna zose zwinobadziyidza.
18 Yahwe bapejo ne bakanyalamoyo,
banotjidza ibabo bakapelegwa nge kugalamoyo.
19 Kudziyidzika kwe nlulwami kunjinji,
koga Yahwe banonsunungula mu kuli kose.
20 Banotjengeta mafupa awe wose,
akuna ne ling'ompela lingavunika.
21 Bubi gowobulaya babi,
na ibabo banobenga balulwami banowolashiwa.
22 Yahwe banodzutunula butjilo gwe balanda babo;
akuna waibabo banotizhila mubali unowolashiwa.

Honor the Lord
1 I will always praise the Lord.

he listens and rescues them
from their troubles.
18 The Lord is there to rescue

who are discouraged
and have given up hope.
19 The Lord's people
may suffer a lot,
but he will always
bring them safely through.
20 Not one of their bones
will ever be broken.
21 Wicked people are killed
by their own evil deeds,
and if you hate God's people
you will be punished.
22 The Lord saves the lives
of his servants.
Run to him for protection,
and you won't be punished.
